| Defiance Local Rules 1. Lost ball or ball out of bounds - Add 1 penalty stroke and place ball where original ball was lost or crossed out of bounds. 2. Maximum strokes per hole for Scoring and Handicap purposes - 8 strokes maximum on Par 3 and Par 4 holes and 10 strokes maximum on Par 5 holes. 3. You may roll your ball in your own fairway within 1 club length of the original spot, but no closer to the hole. 4. When in a bunker, you may rake and place your ball within 1 foot of the original ball position (in the bunker), but no closer to the hole. Scoring Maximum strokes - A score consisting of the Maximum strokes cannot win the hole. The best it can achieve is a tie. 3 matches per foursome per night - each match is worth 2 points. Match 1 - Individual - Player A on Team 1 vs. Player A on Team 2 - Match play format (win, lose or tie each hole). Match 2 - Individual - Player B on Team 1 vs. Player B on Team 2 - Match play format (win, lose or tie each hole). Match 3 - Team - Net total score of Team 1 vs. Net total score of Team 2. Individual Match Play - Subtract the lower handicap from the higher handicap. The higher handicap gets strokes on the lowest handicap holes. Team Net Score - Subtract total team handicap from total team strokes for the match. Note about No Shows If the team A player is a No Show then the A player gets the forfeit and the B players play each other. If the team B player is a No Show then the B player gets the forfeit and the A players play each other. Closest to the Pin Rule The tee shot that stops closest to the pin on par 3's should be marked on the green until the last group. There is no need to make par to validate the award. |
